Tiger Cubs!

Proper head gear required! What, you don't eat breakfast with a winter headband on? You're totally missing out!

Grandma Carol saw this in today's newspaper and we decided we needed to check out this cute cub ourselves.
Grandma Carol is such a sucker.  She let's us use maple syrup on our pancakes.  Mommy never lets us have this treat. And she certainly doesn't trust us to pour it ourselves.  We love Grandma Carol!
Grandpa Frank is quite the artist.  Look what he made us after our visit yesterday to see the Discovery.

He was a bit horrified with my color choices on such a scientific specimen.

Hello tiger cubs!

Look closely- they're tiny and the exhibit is still closed.  Today is only their second day out in public.  the picture from the paper was the zookeepers throwing the tiger cubs in the moat to make sure they didn't drown. They were pissy but safe. Hooray!

The Great Ape house with the Great Ape himself.  And Grandpa Frank and Grandma Carol.

Mommy and Christina bundled up.
Grandpa Frank knew Christina was scared of the elephants so he cuddled with her off to the side.
And then Uncle Skunk took a turn.

We tried to donate dollars to the charity but the machine wouldn't take our money.  Silly Zoo!

Snuggling with Grandma Carol inside- hooray!

We  went to our favorite restaurant and even tried to go to the Daughters of the American Revolution to see the medallion we got for Great Grandma Alberta but it wasn't ready yet. Bummer.  Guess we'll go have some ice cream instead.

Christina loves ice cream!

And even danced to the music while eating. Yes, she is really wearing this outfit in public.  Yes, Mommy picked it out.  Yes, I'm thinking what you're thinking.

I picked out the best toppings ever. See!

Mommy insisted we take a picture at the zoo sign.  This was after we walked up hill, in the rain, without shoes both ways.  I was grumpy.

Grumpy until Grandma Carol surprised us with panda bears and headbands.
And this is the story of two very loved girls getting to spend a lot of time with family going on many great adventures.  We love you!
