Soccer Bound Samantha?

No way!

This is how we plan my activities....
Samantha, in the fall would you like to play soccer again?
No, thank you. I want to do something different.
Like what?
Planting.
In the garden?
Yes.

After setting up my fall activity schedule, it was off to Charlotte's birthday party.  Chrissy and I were super excited because we love the fountain and knew we could also dress up as princesses. All my school friends were there and I was super happy.  Happy birthday, Charlotte! And, you sure throw a great party!

Back home I tried out my new room.  Yeppers, I changed rooms.  My old room is now our playroom and this is where I get to sleep from now on. Daddy, what are you doing in my bed??
Pillow fight!
Even Chrissy got into it!
She thinks pillow fights are fun, too!
Get Daddy!
Yay!

I think I'm going to like my new room just fine!

Camels And Ice Cream Puddles. Oh, My!

School was closed today.  So, in what has become a tradition, Mommy stays home from work to spend the day with us and we head to the Z-O-O.  Yes, I spell that word quite nicely.  It's a super easy word.  Kind of like M-A-L-L and B-A-T-H.  I'm a super good S-P-E-L-L-E-R!

Almost as good as Chrissy is a self-feeder.

And messy hugger.
You are never going to believe this so I had Mommy take lots of pictures.  When we got to the zoo, I wanted to ride the camel but they wouldn't let Chrissy on the camel and Mommy refused to let Chrissy hang out at the zoo by herself.  So, when the camel ride operator Danny said that kiddos could ride without a parent I literally jumped a good three inches off the ground in excitement.  Mommy said, "go for it" and I did!  I shared my ride with another three year old and off we went on Max the Camel.

I wasn't scared at all!
I had so much fun!
I asked very politely if I could ride again and was allowed to since it wasn't crowded and I even got to ride by myself.  Wowsers!
Now this is what I'm talking about!
This is happy!
What?  The ride is over already?
I rode the camel, draft horse, the pony and the carousel.  Chrissy was too scared to ride the pony but said yes to the draft horse and carousel. Her first draft horse ride and she loved it! She's just a baby but I think she is going to be taking lots and lots of camel rides when she is a as big as me.

Mommy took us for pizza and ice cream- the perfect way to end this perfect day!
Chrissy really likes ice cream.  Maybe even more than me, but don't tell Mommy that.
Daddy finally came home after a super long week.  I told him I rode a camel and  he missed pizza and ice cream night and we got very, very messy. So messy that Mommy gave us a bath on a Friday night!

Playground Hopping

We had to stop by the pool tonight to take care of some swim club stuff and decided to check out the local park while we were out and about.

Chrissy was more out and about than Mommy ever thought possible.  Where is she going?
She's following me, of course!
She made it!
First time down a super big slide.  Will she make it?
She did.  Hooray!
Here is video proof of the fearless kiddo I proudly call my little sister!

Mom can't believe how big her girls have gotten.
I am super proud of my little sister for getting right on the horsie.
And not being scared.
Mommy calls her a "wild child".
I call her a cutie!
She thinks that both terms are appropriate.

I love the swings!  I'm getting pretty good at telling Mommy that I will pump my legs and then forgetting until I realize that I'm not going anywhere.  I told Mommy that it's job security.  See, I do need her!
Chrissy and Mommy took pictures of themselves.
Silly billies!
Smiles!
Toofies!
Lots of them!

Evolution

Speaking of trying from yesterday's post.  How 'bout me?  Well, I'm sorta in between two camps.  I like to try things when non-parents offer things to me.

When Mommy gives me something new?  I take a little bit.

Give her a look.
That evolves to my classic "really" look.
And, on a good day, then I proceed to chow down.
On our daily walk down and around Main Street we hung out at the Blue Rooster.  They have the perfect kiddie bench to rest on during our two milers and even for shorter walks when us kiddos are in charge.  Like Samantha's outfit?  Mommy now makes her wear a tank top under the dresses that show her boobies after being super embarassed that lady parts were out and about in public because Samantha tugs on her clothes when she gets nervous.  Yeppers, Mother's Day and Father's Day celebrations at school were interesting this year and permanently altered our wardrobe changes!
And they now include Mommy's glasses!

Yogurt And Peaches??

Wanna know something silly?  Mommy still thinks that I'm a baby who can't feed herself properly.

What is she talking about???
My hand eye coordination is amazing!
As is my ability to look you straight in the eye!
Mommy and her kicks, right?  This week it's all about Samantha trying new food.  So, after a trip to the grocery store this week we ended up with peaches.  Mommy convinced Miss "I Don't Want To Try That" to try a juicy peach after reminding her that she eats peaches already in the cups of fruit Mommy keeps in her snack bag.

How does the evolution of trying work in our house?  It's a LONG process.
We think about it.
And change our mind.

Ask Mommy if she really means it about trying.
We finally grab hold and go for it.
And react to this new thing.
Go big sister!
