Doodle Dude

It was my friends, Connor and Johnny's birthday party today and we went to an art center.  Christina stayed home with Daddy because the party was super far and way past her bedtime.  Wanna know what they did?

Chrissy sure got excited about it.

I knew it.  Pasta makes her super duper happy!

The party was so much fun!

There was a  person named Doodle Dude who got up in front of the room and taught us how to draw. It was so cool!

I focused super good and drew a flower.

Then Doodle Dude taught us how to draw a cartoon character.

I had to pay really close attention.

Mommy wasn't paying any attention at all!

She is never going to be a serious artist, but I sure want to be!

Here is what I drew all by myself!

With my standard princess.  Legs and feet?  Under the dress.  Duh!

After drawing we got to play with model clay.

And I snuck in a quick picture with Mommy.

Cake time. Happy birthday, Connor and Johnny!

A party with almost all boys can be really, really loud!

And boys do crazy things like climb up walls.  Can't see me?  Look closely in the middle.

I was kinda overwhelmed by all these boys.
I snuck away from them and snuggled in Mommy's lap, eating all the yummy frosting off my piece of cake.
Wowsers, we got spy supplies as party favors.  Super cool!
And we also got a picture from the Doodle Dude.  What a great party!
On the way home we passed a mall and then went to see what shops were there. I saw a girly shop and asked Mommy to go in. Since we were already way past my bedtime, we decided to go for broke and went into the store.  I found stuff I liked and carried a wallet around while I kept looking. I asked what a phone piece is so Mommy explained what old school is.  Some grown ups listened to Mommy explain "old school" to me and they laughed a lot.  I don't know what's so funny.

We didn't buy anything but then mommy explained browsing and saving up for something special so I asked of we could go home and get my piggy bank so we could go back and buy something special.

Return Trip To California?

Mommy sneezed and Chrissy said "bless you".  She is learning much about being polite!

Chrissy is such a good eater. She loves veggies more than I do.

But her aim is just awful.

I did homework while Chrissy did an art project then she asked for an apple and the another art project when Mommy said it was bedtime. She is only one and already a master delayer!
Look at her. She is totally outside the lines. Baby!
I played a trick on Mommy by telling her that there are coyotes in the backyard. Then I told her Grandma has kitty cats and we should go visit California again.

Leftie? Who Knows!

Ms. Kim was in my class this week and I just love her.  She plays with us a whole bunch!

And we get to do art projects.

Think I might be a leftie?  We'll see soon enough!

Hot Dog!

In California, big girls are allowed to use booster seats and when I got back to New Jersey, look what I found in Mommy's car!

And The Fake Firs Win The Championship!

Instead of being out in the cold, picking out an ugly tree and listening to Daddy complain as he cuts it down and hoists it on top of our car, we chose a permanent tree this year.

It was much easier to get it home. Actually, it was delivered to our doorstep and we just carried it inside!

And set up was a snap because the lights were already on the tree!

I was so happy with the tree, that I made a special video for Aunt Lissa in front of it.  Aunt Lissa is finishing her master degree, whatever that is, in two weeks.  How cool!

Another cool thing is our traditional family tree. Gets a bit bigger every year!

Super pretty at night, right?  Hey, those are rhyming words!

Shhh, we're having a sleepover.

Back Home

Wanna see how we feel about having to leave the house at 5am to catch a super early flight back to New Jersey?   Here you go!

We snuggled into our seats and stayed very snuggled on the runway for over an hour because California doesn't like fog and there sure was a lot of it.  Good thing we like to read.  I was much better on the this flight than I was flying to California.

But, I sure was happy to get off the plan and run around baggage claim!

I'm plotting my getaway!
Back home, we jumped right back into our routine of playing and playing and playing. I was a super hero, reading style, of course, thanks to my Super Why cape.

Samantha was Ariel.

My baby dolls sure missed me his week!

And Samantha's baby dolls missed her, too!

I sure miss California, but it's really nice to be back home!

Black Friday

Bryce and I woke up laughing and Mommy ran in because she thought we were crying but we were really laughing. I am really going to miss Bryce and me sleepovers.  They fly home today to Washington state and we fly home tomorrow. Boo!

Chrissy went to Daddy and told him she had poopies. They came out of the room and Mommy asked Daddy if she had poopies but she didn't. She looked up and said I teased.  Christina's first trickster funny.  Love it!

Everyone this week is realizing that Christina never stops talking. She says, "help me" a lot and will repeat just about everything you say.  Which is exactly how she learned the phrase "monkey balls" a few days ago.  Oops!

Mommy caught Chrissy in a rare, quiet moment.

I think Curious George might have had something to do with it.

I was really happy, too!

Wondering where Daddy is?  Throwing up and sleeping is how he spent this day. Shoulda gotten the flu shot with the rest of us a few months ago. We feel great!

Hot tub time!

I finally remembered to give my letter to Great Grandma Alberta.
Grandpa Cal and Mommy and Chrissy went for a walk while I spent 45 minutes in the time out chair.  It's really hard being four.

Back home, Chrissy snagged Mommy's sunglasses.

And then I took a turn myself!

Can't find me?  I'm under here!

Cheese face!

Quack, quack says the driver!

I can't believe it's time for them to go home.

Lucky us that Mommy is addicted to her camera!

What a great picture of Grandma and Grandpa.

How to make a great picture even better?  Add me!

Hmm, bet you though it was going to quiet down after two of the four kiddos left. But, no. Turns out that Grandma Joanie and Grandpa Cal learned our family secret.  Chrissy is really loud and only stops talking when she is sleeping.  Oh, and she really doesn't need much sleep at all.

The trick is to keep her busy.

Thank goodness for crayons!

What an amazing week in California with amazing family and friends. Can't wait to come back in May when we are going to be flower girl's in Aunt Lissa's wedding. Hooray!
