Halloween, Part One

Since we were so lucky with Sandy, we're back at school today. Just in time for the annual parade.

Chrissy was a bit less excited about dressing up.

I rocked my best costume ever.
Chrissy kept crying.

Then, we collected ourselves and headed to school. Christina perked up nicely.

And even got a bit cheeky.
When she is at school, she is much better at following directions.

Look at her go on the parade with her friends.

With a special smile for Mommy and Daddy.
Sneaky smile!

Me?  Yeah, my tutu with just undies choice didn't fly and Daddy made me put pants on, too.

I was okay with it.

Rocking the parade- yeppers, that's me!
Princess/Dancer Samantha, right here!

Love my tiara.

Charlotte and me, buddies!

Back in the classroom, Mommy took the opportunity to take even more pictures!

Then, back home I took our laid back schedule in stride and hopped into my puzzle making chair.

Chrissy took a louder approach to free time, busting out her drum.
Look how much I did.

 Progress, progress, finished!

I can't jump on the table, so Mommy is switching it up a bit with taking my picture next to the puzzle instead of ON the puzzle.

I love when Daddy is in town.  Cuddle time!

The Day After

We were so super lucky that we only lost power for 2 and a half hours in the storm. We girls woke up super early this morning and tried to drive into town to see what happened in our tiny town. We tried to go right out of our house, but found a super big tree in our way, so we went left and headed into town.

We didn't get more than a mile down the road when we found this in our way.

Yikes!

So, back home we went and then Chrissy decided to start reading.

Then Mommy was a bit distracted and found Chrissy getting herself in a world of trouble.  Yeppers, that is marker all over her legs.

And she's kinda proud of herself.
It's even on her hands.

So, time outs finished, we moved onto puzzles.

After the tree next door was cleared by a super nice stranger, we strolled downtown to see the damage.  Teddy's had no power but they had pancakes and nice people who were impromptu servers. It was awesome to see the town come together and support each other.

We entertained ourselves by drawing.
And going through Mommy's backpack.
Pancake eating commence!

Christina was really proud of her pancake mouth!

Super proud!
I am super good at taking pictures!

Look at these down lines by Target. Yikes!
Back home we decided to play dress up and clean up at the same time.  I rocked this outfit all by myself.

Take notice of my cinderella slippers.  I rock!
Say hi to Jaws!
Hey, why are you looking at me like that?
Christina in the baby crib.
She loves it!
And spent a long time in there.
While I worked on puzzles.
Lots of puzzles.

Lots and lots of puzzles.
And just before bed we decided to bust out our singing talent for you.

Enjoy!

Rock on!

Sing!

Check this one out.

And the final video of the night, just for you!

Super Storm Sandy

Hunkering down for a super crazy day, we all stayed home and made the best of a scary situation.

Chrissy took Sandy on head first with ice crream in hand.
Or, I should say, mouth.
Take it from me, Christina takes her ice cream very seriously.
And doesn't let one lick go to waste.

I'm a bit more relaxed in my ice cream approach.

Cheese face!
I'm a good Momma.  I read to my baby dolls.

Christina got all snuggly since it was super windy outside.

We decided to bust out the yoga mats and decided to get our yoga on.

And then we headed downstairs for some bouncy house. We're ready!

Inflating!

Still inflating.

Getting ready to bounce.

Just a bit more.
Bounce bounce!

So, that was about 15 minutes before the power went out because of the storm.  So, we headed upstairs for some read by the flashlight family bonding time.
