Kermit, Round Two

So, Mommy wanted to get something done in the kitchen again and opened up the kitchen cabinet for me. Silly Mommy, didn't you learn from yesterday's experience? For the one minute she was on the phone with Aunt E to see if Henry could come over for a playdate I found the green dye again.

Busted!

Hmmm, what do I do now?

I know!. If I steal the camera, then there's no evidence.

You won't get me to smile and reveal my secret green tongue.

Here is Henry doing is version of playing an upright piano. Literally.

Kermit

Mommy needed to get the dishes done this afternoon. I don't like being ignored. Found the green dye. Enough said...

Chicken Little

So, you've seen lots of bath time pictures on this blog. Well, you haven't see many of when Daddy gives me a bath. Mommy was horrified to see how rough bath time can get. I loved every minute of it!

I have no idea of the fun to come.

Oh, no! The sky is falling.

Oh, wait. It's... just.... water.....

Really, I'm okay.

Super Trooper

Mommy had surgery on six toes this morning. Daddy and I kept the nurses and doctors entertained and the other folks in the waiting room distracted.

Mommy was fine and even carried me out of the hospital.

All's well in Krempa-Burt land.

Here are some funny pictures of Mommy with old people's shoes on. They were super fun to play with. Velcro is cool!

I temporarily relinquished control of the remote so Mommy could feel better.

The Kitchen Is My Oyster

Mommy had a conference call this afternoon right about the time I normally need lots of attention. What's a Mommy to do? Bend the rules a bit and let me play with things that are normally off-limits.

Splenda- sure tastes like real sugar to me.

Shhh- I'm reading. Can't you see? I'm using my finger to keep my place. Darned tiny print!

Hmmm.. Brown sugar! I spent seriously five straight minutes trying to gum my way through the bag. I don't understand why I couldn't make a whole in the plastic....

Let's make cupcakes. Thanks.

Case Of The Mondays

This darned weather is sure getting old. I'm totally not a fan of the wind and cold, so it's bound to these four walls unfortunately.

Thank goodness Henry and I have been reconnecting lately. We've been bonding over Baby Einstein videos, baby grand pianos and the best entertainment duo in town. Aunt E reads us books in awesome voices and Mommy dances around the room to play out the story line. Yes, we all know that Mommy can't dance. Between the two of them, we are full of belly laughs!

Here we are checking out Aunt E. The tv is playing in the opposite direction- proof that we're not slaves to the tube.

Here we are with the video playing. I'm pouting for an unknown reason while Henry enjoys Baby Monet.

Fine. I'll just take the 'mote and play with it! Between the 'mote and phones I'm not exactly sure why parents buy baby toys.

This weekend was a total quack up. Seriously. Mommy surprised me with a duck bath tub. I am loving duckies these days and can't get enough of Mommy 'quacking' around the house. Don't I look happy?

Come join me!

Mommy has been wrapping me up in a big girl towel these days and I think it's a hoot.

Funny story- before I got my new duck tub, I was in the real bath tub. Mommy keeps calling it the big girl tub. In telling a friend our bath time stories and adventures in the big girl tub, her friend mentioned reading the blog and said that the big girl tub looks like a real bath tub and where does she keep it? Mommy laughed and said the two tubs are one in the same. Silly Mommy!

A Play Date With A Little Cultural Lesson To Boot

I had a great day today. Mommy and I went to visit one of her former co-workers, Miss Kate, and Miss Kate's 13 month old son Nicholas. Ah, a friend who can easily walk. He is such a cool older man! He is so mild mannered and such fun. I sure hope we can together again really soon.
Nicholas has such a cool play room. Baby heaven!
They are Belarusian and primarily speak their native language at home. Miss Kate was super patient answering all of Mommy's questions about Belarus. I'm starting to feel like I'm the only baby who is learning just one language. Anyone have an extra Rosetta Stone set lying around that I can borrow?
To help me feel comfortable meeting my new friend, Mommy did the ol' stand-by trick of 'pants on the head'. I think it worked, how 'bout you?
Here Nicholas is checking out my baby grand piano that I brought along. How cool is it that a piano fits in Mommy's car? Not too many people can say that!

He is so laid back, it was super fun to hang out with him. He shared his cool boy toys with me. Who would have guessed how much fun cars are? I loved when they rolled towards me and I could even make them move on my own!
Here we are sharing the fun baby grand piano. Look at him smiling. Isn't he a cutie?
We also had so much fun eating the Gerber Graduates star food. Yummy! I had a bottle and he played with the bottle top. We got along really well.

Here I am focusing on Miss Kate as she talks to Nicholas in Belarusian. Try as I might, I wasn't able to learn too much of this language. Though it is as pretty as when Miss Ewa talks to me in Polish.
What a fun day. I sure can't wait to see them again!

Recap

This week was sort of a blur. I'm not sure how it slipped by so quickly, but I turned around and the weekend was here already. Wow!

I had several playdates with Henry and it was awesome. He has super cool toys and he happens to fancy mine, so we took turns playing at each other's cribs. Get it cribs? Yo, MTV!

Anyhoosits, I think it's only appropriate to post a picture of kitty cat. You see, we take at least one field trip every day to pet the kitty cat and practice saying 'meow'.

I've also gotten a taste of biter biscuits and think they are one fantastic mess. Couldn't tell ya what they actually taste like, but man are they wonderful to play with. Check this adventure out!

And this adventure was a rice wafer mixed with a wooden spoon. Check out all of Mommy's tea cups. Wow!

Oh, and Mommy managed a close up of my hair. Comb is a four letter word in this house. Can you tell?

Ice, Ice, Baby..

I'm sure Mommy and Daddy got their quarters worth at the fortune teller last weekend who told them that childproofing was in their near future. What gave it away?

Must get the second blue piano leg!

Yep, I made that mess all by myself!

Warning: Inappropriate Pictures

I'm still learning how to feed myself. It's a messy process. Mommy has almost given up on trying to keep me clean since I've grown out of the blue tub that fits in the kitchen sink. It was a great tub and I loved the faucet spraying water in my mouth, but sadly this joyous era has drawn to a close.

Biter biscuits + Samantha = first big girl bath!

Wonder what it was that pushed Mommy over the edge? Any ideas? I'll give you a hint- that's not a mustache!

Big tub with toys. What do I play with first? The tub is my oyster!

Check out my great posture.
And for those who made fun of my bald spot, I wanted to show you that it's starting to grow in.

Terhune, Here I Come

Grandma Carol and Grandpa Frank came for a visit and we had a great time hanging around the house and visiting the animals at Terhune.

I wish I had great stories to share, but the truth is I'm going through that awful phase where I only want Mommy. Weird because I don't normally play favorites, but I've found myself clinging onto Mommy for dear life these days.

Let's look at the great pictures taken while we were at the farm.

Here I am with Mommy, Grandma Carol and Grandpa Frank. Uncle T wasn't able to make it this trip.. Next time!
Aren't I cute??
I'm sure you can see the tears on my face. I'm not crying, it's just my tear duct acting up again. It's sorta my own fault because Mommy tries to clear it up and ends up on the receiving end of my karate chop. Sure wouldn't want to me on the receiving end of 16 pounds of pure Samantha unleashed against the evil fingers all up in tear duct land.
Grandma save me from this jacket. It's bigger than I am!
Daddy had my back. When Mommy wasn't looking he'd unzip the jacket and make me more comfortable. I sure dislike jackets and anything that keeps me warm in winter. (Well, except for my pink hat and gingerbread man hat. They're super cool!)

Any Suggestions?

I've heard that a picture is worth a thousand words.

How would you caption this picture?

Lazy Sunday

Daddy's at work. Mommy's straightening up for company later today. Where am I, you ask?

Thoroughly enjoying my lazy Sunday morning!

I Choose You, Valentine!

What a great family day! We got up super early to start the day off right. In case you're wondering what is an appropriate wake-up time is in the Krempa-Burt household, today it was 5am. I don't want to miss out on anything these days!

We had a great breakfast and then headed off to the poor man's version of a petting zoo. Yep, one might call it a pet store.

We saw lots of doggies and kitty cats. I perched safely in Daddy's arms when we saw the animals jump around. Sure they were behind glass, but you can't be too careful.

I just loved the fish exhibits. Just like the doctor's office. Well, not exactly. There are way more fish and the other difference.. You'll figure it out soon enough. Daddy held me down two of the rows and then Mommy took me for a spin. She complained pretty quickly that I'm getting too heavy to carry around so Daddy took me back and Mommy disappeared for a moment. When she came back she found Daddy laughing, me with a huge grin on my face and water dripping from my hand. Yep, I went deep sea fishing in one of the fish tanks! Hey, it's Valentine's Day and I am too young to eat any junk food. I decided to make that super cute fish my Valentine. Mommy was less than impressed and silently took me up front for some good ol' fashioned hand washing.

We checked out the mice and I decided I want one of my very own. I loved watching them run around in their wheel. I begged Daddy, but he said mice are best for outside the house.

All in all it was a great field trip!

Back home it was time for lunch. Here is further proof that Mommy should be declared color blind.

My afternoon snack was supposed to me some crappy baby food, but I spied Mommy's cherry tomatoes and managed to sneak one. Yummy!

After dinner it was time to practice crawling. This is a skill best practiced when there is a kitty cat just in front of me.

Silent Night

Daddy came home at 3:30 this morning and I woke up at 4am. He woke up at 6:50 and I went down for my morning nap at 7am. Talk about two ships passing in the night.

We're both in bed before 8pm.

Hope tomorrow's more exciting. I heard chatter about going to see animals at a farm or zoo. Hope we have some fun adventures!

Before I sign off, let me leave you with a funny picture of the day. You know how I like to kick off my socks and line them up just right. Check out this picture.

Here's another one for a better shot of what I think of socks and nuks.
