Countdown To Noon!

My very first New Year's Eve and I must say, we sure knocked this countdown out of the park.  Daddy and I were so super excited to celebrate this great day with Maggie, Lexie and their Mommy and Daddy.

I was super excited that my diaper was dry and I was fed.  Score!


Samantha loved the gym.
Maggie and Lexie are equestrians in the making.

Samantha found her groove in the ball pit.

While Mommy and I chose the slow lane.

Samantha was not so excited for the countdown to noon hat.

I sure held onto my noisemaker for dear life. There were tons of kiddos vying for my treasure!


Samantha had practiced her countdown and was surprised to find that other kids were not as prepared.  I think she has a selective memory. She thinks she could count when she was one.  I think she is full of it!
10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1- HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I rang in the new year with all the excitement this tired kiddo could muster!  Then it was time for a tasty lunch. Sam had pizza and I opted for a bagel- yummy.
Then we went home for some more party time, I mean potty time!
While I practiced my standing.
But, not for too long. My legs are still little, ya know.

But I got my second wind in the tub.
And my second dinner.
Samantha cheered me on.
Cutie pie!
I started to cheer myself on.
Until I got water up my nose.
Yes, this is what I look like with water up my nose!

And a mohawk in my hair!
Is it really mine?

Mommy, no towel on my head!
Here, have another dinner. It's on me.

Fashionista Faux Pas!

For those who actually know Samantha and me, then you must feel our pain of having a fashion-sense-LESS mother.  I mean, seriously.  Look at what she is wearing. 

And then how she dressed me.
Yes, this is the best smile I can muster under these circumstances.
Samantha was extra embarrassed because she is non-matching and on the potty.
And, yes, this is the best smile she could muster.
I think we inherited our will to carry on from our Daddy.  He teaches us to go in the wide, wide world and prosper, even if we don't match and our hair looks like its never seen a brush.  Thanks for creating such an interesting challenge for us girls, Mom!

Thankfully, we pulled it together just in time to head to the car and drive up to Somerville to meet Lucinda and her special friend, Matt.  They flew all the way from California to spend time with us.  Lucinda hasn't met me yet and I was very interested in her sweater.  I think I wanted to chew on it, if you  really want to know.

 Samantha was a wee bit shy.  She rocked it in her blue dress and pink cowgirl boots. She also rocked my Cheerios, an egg, a pancake and two pieces of toast.  I think she has a second belly!
We had so much fun and love to meet Mommy and Daddy's friends from before us kids.  They are so gracious to us- thank you!

My New Favorite Sleeping Position

Not even Santa could save me.  I had a really rough night last night.  I just couldn't get comfortable.  I think I'm coming down with an ear infection, but time will tell.  

I kept Mommy up until all hours.  And, when I finally got sleepy around 5am, I crawled over to the pillow and rested my weary head.  With my tushie in the air, I achieved nirvana.  Sleep!

Santa Is A Sucker!

You can take lessons from me.  A smile will do a world of wonders when convincing Santa that you've been good all year long.  I'm proof of this. Last night I told Santa I was a good girl all year long.  Like a three year old can remember a whole year.  Yeah, right!

Mommy was up early and watched us come down the stairs.  I'm holding my trusty bean bag for no reason in particular.  Chrissy is a little confused why there is a camera to watch us walk down the stairs.

Yeppers, all signs point to a Santa visit last night.  Milk and Vitatop gone!
Wowsers, look at all of these presents!

Chrissy was in absolute heaven opening her very first present.  She is one messy bessy!

Mommy got some really neat flamless candles, which happens to be my most favorite nighttime activity these days.  Lighting them is my favorite.  (Did you notice that I have lots of favorites these days?)  Chrissy was pretty excited for them, too.

Uncle Travis and Aunt Holley (for real, congrats!) hooked me up with lots and lots of princess pink things.
