The Rumors Are True

Mommy is super happy with my nighttime sleeping but beside herself with my refusal to take naps.  So, I've landed myself a one way ticket to daycare.  Yikes!  Samantha made it nine months before daycare but I heard she napped three times a day for over an hour each nap.  Talk about an impossible bar!  Tomorrow is the big day so Mommy didn't work today so we could spend it together.  We went for a long walk in the mall and then headed home, where I fell asleep!  Mommy was surprised to find that I slept someplace other than her arms during the day.  That's never happened before and now I've got her wondering if she is sending me to school too soon.  Ha- I have all the power!

I slept for almost an hour and I'm pretty sure Mommy spent that entire time watching me and thinking how lucky she is that she's my Mommy.  I agree!

In honor of tomorrow, I took a bath.

Memorial Day Parade In Mayberry

I woke up this morning totally excited for an amazing day.  It's parade day in Mayberry!  Of course the policeman blocked our street for the festivities.

We headed over to Kira and Jimmy's grandparents house and I lined up and waited patiently for the fun to begin.

Mommy and Chrissy took a more laid back approach.

A great thing about the parade is that the participants toss candy to the kiddos.  And I sure fit that bill.  I loaded up my bag with lots and lots of candy.  Yummy!

Larissa was super good with Chrissy and Mommy was excited for a break.

After an amazing time with family and friends we headed home to escape the heat and we played and played and played.

Sunday In The Park With...An Irish Man?

First, I have to share some fantastic news with you.  I'm starting to go pee pee on the potty with some level of consistency.  I take after Mommy and am totally not picky about finding a bathroom. 

Second, I am not much of a vacationer at all. I really prefer to be home with my own things.   Mommy just about cried listening to all of my fussing about wanting to go home. So, after breakfast we decided on a walk through downtown Fredericksburg before heading back to Mayberry.

On the way home we made a quick detour to see Grandma Carol, Grandpa Frank and Joshua.  We also met Mommy's favorite neighbors when she was growing up.  She sure lived in a great neighborhood!

I had so much fun that I promptly fell right asleep on the way back home.

What a great family vacation!

Saturday In The South

Wowsers, Virginia is one hot state.  I can't believe that Mommy went to school here and stayed in a dorm that had no air conditioning.  Holy smokes.  Literally!

Mommy says this fountain is new since she went to school.  Mommy, that was so long ago that I'm sure lots of things are new!

After some great ice cream we headed to the mall for some indoor playtime and then went to two stores to find my fish sticks.. Silly stores didn't know I was a comin' to town!

I Love You, You Love Me!

Hello everyone!  We are a headin' places.  Fredericksburg, Virginia to be exact.  Mommy decided we all needed to spend some quality time where she went to college. We're going on vacation! I'm super excited!

Chrissy dressed up all smart for the occasion. C is for Chrissy.  She already knows how to spell her name.  Score!

Doesn't she look super silly in her pants that don't stay up. She really has no tushie.

After a long time in the car listening to me fuss about wanting my house and my bed and my toys, Mommy and Daddy broke down and brought out the headset and introduced me to a whole new world.  Did you know movies play in special cars?  Daddy's car can play Barney movies. I am in heaven.

And the peace and quiet did wonders for Mommy's demeanor.

And even more wonders for mine!
