Impromptu Family Fun Night Out!

Um, you know Daddy travels a lot, right? Well, it's not as exciting as it sounds. He's stuck in airports a lot.   Like now.

Christina had a great day with Ava.  Circle time is so much fun!

So is playing ball outside.
She is super good at playing ball.

When Mommy picked us up, she realized we had international party day tomorrow and we forgot to pick up a treat.  So, we dropped into the international food store on our way home and asked people for advice on which treats to get since we couldn't read the labels.  Some very nice people helped pick out these special treats.  Can't wait to try them tomorrow!

Then, down the road we saw signs for Family Night and Mommy drove by our town to see if it was tonight or next week like she thought.  It's tonight  and we are all about impromptu fun!

Here we are waiting for the helicopter.

Can you tell someone is freaked?
Here it comes.
Right about now is where Chrissy's heart leapt from her chest and flung itself into the river.  Christina is absolutely terrified of most things and noise.  Put them together and she is literally jumping out of her skin. Me? I was in heaven seeing this amazing helicopter land right in front of us.
Mommy calmed her down with popcorn.
And I climbed up.
And slid my way to heaven.
Chrissy found a hot dog.
Me, too!
And she kept asking Mommy for cheese, but Mommy kept telling her there was no cheese.

Turns out Christina things she can trick Mommy into giving her Doritos if she calls them cheese. She's right.

High five for cheese!
Then we found the dunk tank. I dunked Mr. Dan.
Hey, even if you can't hit the target with the ball, get creative.

Splash!

Super excited that Emily was up for some impromptu fun too!
Mommy let me go order ice cream from the ice cream truck all by myself.  I'm totally ready for kindergarten.

Christina can eat ice cream for days.

I'm a good big sister.  I took scaredy cat down the slide.

She freaked.
Then she kept telling Mommy she saw Benjamin from school.  Mommy didn't believe her until she too saw Benjamin.  Guess what?  He lives in our town!
