Homebound

Mommy was all about the car ride home.  Something about her not liking to listen to me fuss for hours on end.  So, when we woke up at 5:30, she loaded the car and fed us breakfast.  When Chrissy was ready to go down for her morning nap, it was on the car ride back to the garden state.

As soon as we got back home, Mommy declared a break from us kiddos and we went plopped on the couch with Daddy.  And I snuck in a few hugs with Chrissy.

She's still a bit overwhelmed by my depth of love for her.
After Mommy got a nap, (and boy, did she need one!) we headed to the pool.  I tried on my water wings and rocked my staple bathing suit.
And found Bridget and Danny at the pool.  I love her goggles.  I didn't know that goggles could keep water out of my eyes.  Mommy, why can't I have goggles?  Hey, Bridget, thanks for lending me your old goggles.  I think you are such a great friend!
Bridget also likes Chrissy a bunch. Chrissy likes her a bunch, too.

I love living in Mayberry and having such great friends!

Family And Friends- I Love You!

We got up super early to play with Grandma and Grandpa and Joshua, of course!  Then we piled in the car and headed over to Panera to get bagels for our breakfast with Vanessa and Elizabeth.  Bad Panera gypped us out of two bagels, which meant that there weren't enough to go around.  Silly Panera, please don't do that again, okay?

It's so great to see Vanessa and Elizabeth's family and Dean again.  I love having friends in all different places so we can visit them whenever we're in town.

Vanessa and Elizabeth's Mommy thought Chrissy was old enough to eat bananas.  Mommy said that Chrissy won't eat at home, only at school.  Miss Sarah thought that was a bit silly, and truthfully, so do I!  So, out came a banana and a baby-sized spoon. Mr. James was totally up to the task and Mommy took an unauthorized break from Motherhood.

Chrissy was all over the spoon, literally.

Or, should I clarify... spoons!
Then Chrissy was passed on over to Mr. Dean.  Nothing like scaring the bejeebus out of him with a little baby in his arms!

Grabby Gabby, slow down!
Silly Chrissy, you're not supposed to eat the bowl!
Mr. Dean, rein her in!
Chrissy dropped the spoons a bunch and Miss Sarah was super nice and kept bring her new clean ones.
After slobbering banana all over Mr. Dean, who is now totally scared off of babysitting us anytime soon, Chrissy settled for gnawing on the spoons.
While I enjoyed a rocking cinnamon raisin bagel with a ton of cream cheese.

Banana baby, back for round two.

Must eat bowl, says Chrissy.
While Mr. Dean smiles because he's totally not sure what to do with Chrissy.  Don't worry, Mr. Dean. Mommy often feels exactly the same way!
Chrissy is much better about being passed around than I was at that age.  Miss Sarah was great with her, singing songs and making her laugh until Vanessa got a teensy bit jealous and pulled rank.  After all, Miss Sarah is her mommy.  I totally get it, Vanessa!
Isn't Elizabeth super cute?  She is a month older than I am and is super great about telling me secrets to life that she's learned in her extra time experiencing the ways of the world.  Can you see me in the back trying to learn music on the kiddie piano?
I totally dig musical instruments and this house is where it's at!  We need to visit way more often.  Bam, bam!
Drummer girl, right here!
Hey, I'm pretty good at the grown-up piano.
But not so good that I couldn't use a bit of guidance from Vanessa and Mr. Dean.

In alignment with a three year old's attention span, we quickly rotationed stations to the couch for beloved reading time with Mr. Dean.
He's a great storyteller.

And we're totally great listeners!
We are such a cute bunch of girls!
Sadly, our time came to an end because I kept pooping in my diaper.  Of course Mommy didn't bring enough, but Miss Sarah helped us out with Elizabeth's leftover pull ups. That's me, champion pooper!   I sure hope we can come visit you again really soon!

We headed home and took a great nap and before we knew it, it was dinner time.  For our walk outside for Joshua, Grandma gave me a scarf to wear around my shorts as a belt.  And, boy, did I think that was hot stuff!  I sure wore that scarf proudly!

Dinner time! And that meant off to Spartans with the family and Uncle Travis.  I sat in between Grandma and Grandpa and Chrissy sat in Mommy's lap, when she wasn't in Uncle Travis' lap.  Mommy forgot toys for Chrissy, again!  But, she improvised by snaggin some of my art supplies and handing them to Chrissy.

Chrissy didn't mind at all.

She rather likes eating everything she can find.
Me?  I made lots of art projects.

With lots of different markers.  I asked Grandma to make circles, but not hearts.  She made a heart anyways and I yelled at her.  I said no hearts!  Don't mess with a three year old because we can totally out scream and out cry anyone!
And Chrissy?  Chilled with Uncle Travis, eating the butterfly while I pitched my little fit.
Ponytail?  Not in this here hair!
After dinner we headed to the pet store and I cried because Daddy wasn't there to lift me up.  Thankfully, Uncle Travis was super nice and picked me up super high to see all the fishes.

I may end this post with a close up of my tushie, but rest assured that I really, really enjoyed all my family and friend's catch-up, bonding time today.

Girls Only!

No, Daddy, you can't come.  It's a vacation for shes only and you're a he.  Got it?

Mommy, Chrissy and I packed up the car super early today and headed down to NoVa to see Grandma Carol, Grandpa Frank, Joshua and Uncle Travis and Aunt Holley.

When we arrived I asked to get all dolled up for the special occasion.  Thankfully Grandma had just the right solution.

Lots of selection- Score!
I'll take this one.  And this one, too....
So many bracelets!

Super pretty Samantha, right here!

We had so much fun today.  We went on lots of walks with Joshua.  He goes pee pee outside, ya know.  Not in the house like a kitty cat.  Puppies don't pee pee inside, silly!

We had dinner with great neighbor's, Miss Dottie and Mr. Jim and Uncle Travis and Aunt Holley joined us.  Chrissy woke up and Mommy had to take her driving and they nursed in a park and I'm pretty sure the cops there thought there was some drug action going on until they saw Chrissy fussing and flailing, then they were pretty happy to stay in their cars and skip investigating.  It was a long, long day for Mommy!

Baby Eating Machine, Right Here!

Nothing like a good time at the playground Samantha always says.  This picture was taken a moment before Miss Independent tried hanging from the bar herself.  She is not the bar hanging master she thinks she is and ended up with a bruise on her tushie to prove it.

When she recovered enough, Samantha kindly ran over to check on me to make sure those on the perimeter (that's me!) weren't injured during her stunt gone wrong.
Thankfully, I'm all good!
In fact, I'm so good that I felt ready to take on the world.
Of clementines!
Hmmm.
Not sure how I feel about these clementines.
Samantha wasn't too sure either.
Let me try it again, please.
It's not so bad. Thanks, Mommy!
